The Big Test No. 2: Preview

First test of the series was quite a naughty affair at Nottingham. Where pitch was flat but wickets were tumbling in bundles & tail enders were enjoying batting there; half centuries of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Shami & Anderson was prove that thing. It was a batting friendly pitch where batsmen needed to show patience to score big. So those who shown patience scored big runs in Nottingham. Match ended in a draw & curators were taken on troll for making such a flat pitch.

After the match the concentration has been moved to Jadeja-Anderson spat. Dhoni has done a right thing by filing a complaint. Cook says 'its tactical' so whatever they do is right & if we file a complaint then we are targeting the best bowler. I feel pity on the thinking of english cricketers. It is better you guys stop abusing, sledging & being offensive on the field then Indian cricketers will stop making such tactics. English cricketers don't know how to play the game in right spirit. So only god knows when english cricketers will learn to play the game in right spirit. We will now move on to the second test.

Lord's 'The Home of cricket' is the venue of second test between India & England. Every single cricketer has a dream of playing at Lord's. As playing at Lord's is always special because its traditions and reception of the ground always overwhelms the players. As Ganguly says in the ad that 'the key to play at Lord's is to enjoy everything happening around you'. One more thing inspires players to play well at Lord's is that board of hall of fame. The player who gets the hundered at Lord's get his name on the board. So every batsman from both the teams will try to get the name on the board. If every batsman will be up for hundered then bowlers will be ready to stop them. As curators always produce result oriented pitch at Lord's.

India's records at Lord's are pretty good as far as one-day cricket is concerned but when it comes to test cricket it is not good at all. I heard Rahul Dravid saying that 'Ajit Agarkar was the first cricketer among us to get his name on that board of Lord's'. So one can imagine the record of India at Lord's. So England will be quite confident to win this Lord's test with the kind of bowling attack they have. India will also be ready for it.

It will be interesting to see the kind of combination Dhoni play at Lord's. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has proved himself with the bat as well so Ashwin is likely to sit out again. I think Dhawan has made way for Gambhir in the team but let's see what Dhoni thinks about it. Apart from that I don't see any major changes in the team. As far as England is concerned I think they will go with the same team but it will be interesting to see the role of Cook in the team. Will he play as a strike bowler? Or will he be happy with the failure as an opening batsman? At this moment cook the bowler is more likely to make in the team. Whatever the role of cook is all we need is great game of cricket at Lord's.
